After losing out on a previous office space our client fortuitously found themselves in the opportune place to take over this beautifully imposing Victorian industrial warehouse building. They gave this exciting opportunity to the Empire Design team to come up with the concept to transform this huge 11,000 sq ft.space into a place of creativity and vibrancy.
The project is currently in the build stage with our team of in-house craftsmen, we look forward to showing you the results in Feb 2018.
This large 6 storey property in the heart of Kensington, was in need of a complete overhaul tailored to our clients taste and vast array of artwork. This consisted of the decorating and redressing of all bedrooms, reconfigurations of all bathrooms, relocating the kitchen and changing the use of several rooms to accommodate this growing family's needs.
By using a very muted palette throughout the house we enabled the vibrant artwork to take centre stage. Phase 1 is now complete. We look forward to starting on Phase 2 in the spring!
This fantastic commercial property is nestled high amongst the roof tops in Borough. Our very lucky clients are moving into their new HQ just before Christmas, where they can sit back and enjoy the best views across London.
This all glass structure is set within the original footprint of the old 'Plant Room' and has a fabulous roof terrace to open up the doors onto, which will allow for alfresco dining across the summer months. We encapsulated the industrial essence of the surrounding East London area through our design and the use of raw materials and atmospheric lighting.

This beautiful Victorian property is a hidden gem and aptly called the 'Secret Garden House'. This landlocked property is only known to a select few which adds to the charm and beauty of this unique find.
We have secured planning and we are set to carry out a full refurbishment in the Spring. We cant wait to get started on this one!
We were asked at Empire Design Studio to transform this grand lateral apartment by means of decoration and sourcing and unique pieces of antique furniture. The back drop was already set with beautiful ornate coving, door mouldings and marble fireplaces, original to the main fabric of the building.
We restored every element back to its former glory and sourced classic furniture from around the world to complement the scheme. Our clients large collection of masterpieces was lost within the grand proportions of the rooms, so we made it our mission to enhance and emphasise by adding panelling and using a dark palette for contrast. This magnificent apartment was completed in July 2017.
This charming Victorian property comprises of two maisonettes laid out over four storeys. With its attractive stucco facade and situated in Londons most colourful and eclectic neighbourhood, we had a lot of fun with the design! The clients wanted to keep all the period features in the upper maisonette and give it a classic and cosy feel suitable for the rental market.
The lower maisonette underwent a complete reconfiguration and new structure to afford more head height and reduce all the unnecessary levels. We also extended at ground floor level to create a dining area off the kitchen, which overlooks the beautiful courtyard.
The apartment is Japanese inspired, complete with hand painted tiles in the master ensuite, shoji doors and silk wallpaper. We had a lot of fun researching and specifying this project to achieve this specific and desired style. We completed this project August 2017.
